How I dubbed 20+ videos for just $29 (without hiring professional voice actors)

tldr We dubbed 20+ videos using Perso AI for just $29 The strategy was to use the unlimited slow mode and split the videos
Recently, we launched a new kids yoga feature at Jade.
The classes were recorded by a professional Brazilian instructor.
The problem came right after that. Jade has users globally, so it didn’t make sense to launch a feature that only worked in Portuguese.
We needed those videos in Spanish and English as well.
I started looking into ways to solve this without blowing the budget. Hiring professional voice actors was not an option because of the cost.
So I turned to tools. I tested several options.
First conclusion: CapCut dubbing just doesn’t work well.
I had also seen good results from Panda Video, but when I checked the pricing, it would cost around $300 since they charge per minute of processed video.
That’s when I found Perso AI. The idea sounded perfect: you pay a subscription and, in theory, can dub as many videos as you want.
But in practice, there are some important details.
Perso AI has different plans, and if your videos are longer than 5 minutes, you need the $29/month Creator plan, which allows videos up to 15 minutes long.
However, this plan only includes 30 minutes of fast processing per month. Which makes sense, since this type of processing is expensive.
The real unlock is a mode called “Low Speed Dubbing Content Creation”. In this mode, processing is unlimited.
The only condition is that each video must be around 5 minutes long.
This is where the strategy comes in.
My videos were around 10 minutes long. While I still had fast processing credits, each video took about 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Once those credits ran out, I had to switch to slow mode. To make it work, I split each video into two parts of about 5 minutes.
Each part then took between 6 to 8 hours to process.
In the end, to dub 20 videos, 10 in English and 10 in Spanish, it took about 20 days, averaging 2 videos per day.
That was enough to stay within a single monthly subscription.
And most importantly, the result turned out great.
